Does your property have a slope that limits your usable space or creates concerns about erosion? We can build retaining walls to create level spaces on a sloped property. These versatile structures not only hold back soil on slopes, preventing erosion and protecting your foundation, but they can also create level areas for patios, gardens, or even additional living space. Retaining walls come in a variety of materials and styles, allowing you to find an option that complements your home's architecture.
With Ron's Restoration Masonry, you never have to settle for dull, uninspired retaining walls. We can incorporate features like built-in planters, seat walls, or lighting to create a truly unique and functional outdoor space. Our team will take note of factors like slope grade, soil composition, and desired functionality. Based on this assessment, we'll recommend the most suitable materials and design a retaining wall that meets all local building codes and regulations.

These massive walls rely solely on their weight to resist lateral forces. Constructed from heavy materials like concrete, stone, or masonry units, gravity walls are a cost-effective solution for shorter walls (up to 3 meters) in residential or commercial settings.
Similar to gravity walls, crib walls utilize interlocking precast concrete or timber "boxes" filled with gravel. These walls offer a charming aesthetic and are ideal for creating planter areas. However, they may not be suitable for supporting structures or steep slopes.
Gabion walls consist of rectangular wire mesh baskets filled with rocks. They offer a natural look and are perfect for erosion control and stabilizing slopes due to their flexibility and drainage capabilities.
Cantilever retaining walls are among the most economical and commonly constructed retaining walls. These L-shaped walls, typically made of reinforced concrete, can reach heights up to 10 meters and are widely used in various construction projects.
For taller retaining walls (8 to 12 meters), counterfort walls provide additional reinforcement. These walls feature buttresses built into the back of the wall, offering extra support for demanding applications like coastal engineering or road construction.
Piled retaining walls are ideal for situations requiring deep excavations with minimal disruption to surrounding areas. These walls use strong, reinforced concrete piles driven deep into the ground, acting like individual support columns.
No matter the scope or complexity of your retaining wall project, you can trust our expert masons to deliver exceptional results. From traditional gravity walls to cutting-edge anchored and mechanically stabilized designs, our team has the technical expertise and artistic vision to transform any space. Choose from a wide assortment of materials, finishes, and even built-in features to create a retaining wall that's both stylish and structurally sound.
